Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Whisk together the dark brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and black pepper in a medium bowl until well combined. This is your glaze. (5 minutes)

02

Step
1 hrs

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow glass dish or a zip-top bag. Pour half of the glaze over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is well coated. Reserve the remaining glaze for basting. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 1 hour. (1 hour)

03

Step
5 mins

Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat (about 375°F or 190°C) and lightly oil the grill grate to prevent sticking. Discard the marinade from the glass dish/bag. (5 minutes)

04

Step
8 mins

Grill the salmon, skin-side down if applicable, for 3-4 minutes. Baste with the reserved glaze and flip the salmon. Continue grilling for another 3-4 minutes, basting occasionally, until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. Internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C). (8 minutes)

For best results, use fresh, high-quality salmon fillets. If using frozen salmon, ensure it is fully thawed before marinating.
Don't overcook the salmon! It should be moist and tender, not dry and rubbery.
If you don't have an outdoor grill, you can broil the salmon in the oven. Place the salmon on a baking sheet lined with foil and broil for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked through, basting with the reserved glaze during cooking.
Serve this glazed salmon with a side of roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a fresh salad for a complete and healthy meal.

The apple cider vinegar adds such a nice tang to the glaze. I also added a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.

I don't have a grill, so I broiled the salmon in the oven and it turned out great! Thanks for the tip!
