Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Generously spray two donut pans with nonstick cooking spray to ensure easy release. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a mixing bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of almond milk, the egg, 1 teaspoon of melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined. Add the granulated sugar substitute and continue mixing until fully incorporated. (5 minutes)

03

Step

In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and allspice. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Pour the batter into the prepared donut pans, filling each cavity about 3/4 full. (10 minutes)

04

Step

In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of brown sugar substitute with 0.75 teaspoon of cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the donuts in the pans. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the tops, allowing it to seep into the cinnamon-sugar mixture. (5 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven for 18 to 21 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. This allows them to firm up slightly and prevents breakage. (35 minutes)

For a richer flavor, try using brown butter instead of melted butter in the batter and as a drizzle.
Ensure all refrigerated ingredients are at room temperature for best mixing.
If you don't have donut pans, you can bake these as muffins, but reduce the baking time by a few minutes.
Store leftover donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
