In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle 4 blackberries and 2 sprigs of rosemary. (2 minutes)

Add ice cubes to the shaker, followed by the tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. (1 minute)

Cover the shaker tightly and shake vigorously until the outside of the shaker feels very cold. (30 seconds)

For a mocktail version, replace the tequila with a splash of blackberry sparkling water or a touch more lime juice.
Adjust the simple syrup to your desired level of sweetness, depending on the tartness of the blackberries and lime.
Experiment with different herbs! Mint or sage also pair beautifully with blackberries.
