Follow The Directions

01

Step

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray a 9-inch pie dish with cooking spray. (5 minutes)

02

Step

In a large bowl, gently toss blueberries with cornstarch until evenly coated. Add sugar, orange juice, orange zest, vanilla extract, and cinnamon; stir until well combined. (10 minutes)

03

Step

Carefully press one pie crust into the prepared pie dish. Brush the bottom crust with half of the beaten egg white to create a moisture barrier. Pour the blueberry mixture into the pie crust. (10 minutes)

04

Step

Lay the second crust over the blueberry filling. Crimp the edges of the two crusts together to seal. Cut four 1/2-inch slits into the top crust to allow steam to escape. Brush the top crust with the remaining egg white. Cover the edges of the crust with strips of aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning. (15 minutes)

05

Step

Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling, 50 to 60 minutes. Remove foil during the last 15 minutes of baking to allow the crust edges to brown evenly.

For best results, use high-quality, all-butter pie crust for a flaky and flavorful base.
Adjust the amount of cornstarch depending on the juiciness of the blueberries; if they are very juicy, you may need a little more.
Let the pie cool completely before slicing to allow the filling to set properly. This will prevent a runny mess.
Serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra touch of indulgence.
