Follow The Directions

01

Step
2 mins

In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the sugar, balsamic vinegar, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, minced shallots, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika. Seal the jar tightly and shake vigorously until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed. (2 minutes)

02

Step
1 mins

Add the vegetable oil to the jar. Seal it again and shake well to emulsify the dressing. (1 minute)

03

Step
1 hrs

Refrigerate the dressing for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld and deepen. (60 minutes)

04

Step
5 mins

In a large bowl, gently combine the baby spinach leaves, sliced strawberries, toasted pecans, and crumbled goat cheese. (5 minutes)

05

Step
2 mins

Just before serving, retrieve the dressing from the refrigerator. If any separation has occurred, shake well to recombine. Pour the desired amount of dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients evenly. Serve immediately. (2 minutes)

For a richer flavor, toast the sesame and poppy seeds lightly before adding them to the dressing.
Feel free to substitute other nuts, such as walnuts or almonds, for the pecans.
If you prefer a tangier dressing, add a squeeze of lemon juice or a dash of Dijon mustard.
The dressing can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.

I loved the combination of flavors and textures in this salad. The sweetness of the strawberries, the tanginess of the goat cheese, and the crunch of the pecans were perfect together.

This salad is absolutely divine! The dressing is what makes it so special. I've made it several times and it's always a hit.

The dressing was a little too sweet for my taste, so I reduced the sugar slightly and it was perfect. I also added a sprinkle of black pepper to the salad for a little extra kick.
