Follow The Directions

01

Step
5 mins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish. (5 minutes)

02

Step
10 mins

In a large bowl, beat eggs and banana together until smooth. Add cake mix and apple pie filling; beat until just combined. Be careful not to overmix. Pour batter into prepared baking dish. (10 minutes)

03

Step
5 mins

In a separate bowl, stir together brown sugar, coconut, pecans, and cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the batter in the baking dish. Using a knife or toothpick, gently swirl the coconut mixture into the batter for a marbled effect. (5 minutes)

04

Step
1 hrs

Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean, approximately 60 minutes. If the top begins to brown too quickly, tent with foil.

05

Step
3 mins

While the cake is baking, prepare the icing. In a small bowl, whisk together confectioners' sugar and milk until smooth. (3 minutes)

06

Step
15 mins

Once the cake is baked, let it cool slightly in the baking dish for 10 minutes. Drizzle the icing evenly over the top of the warm cake. Cool cake completely in the baking dish to room temperature, then cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold before serving. (15 minutes cooling time)

For a richer flavor, use melted butter instead of milk in the icing.
Add a dash of nutmeg to the streusel topping for extra warmth.
If you don't have pecans, walnuts or almonds make a fine substitute.
Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent treat.
