Follow The Directions

01

Step

Chill two martini glasses in the freezer. (5 minutes)

02

Step

Prepare the salt rim: Pour coarse salt onto a small, shallow dish. Cut a slit into one of the orange wedges and rub it along the rim of the chilled glasses to moisten. (2 minutes)

03

Step

Roll the edges of the moistened glasses in the salt to create a salt rim. Place the prepared glasses back in the freezer to keep them chilled. (3 minutes)

04

Step

In a cocktail shaker, combine the freshly squeezed orange juice, tequila, and orange liqueur. (1 minute)

05

Step

Add crushed ice to the shaker and shake vigorously until well-chilled. (30 seconds)

06

Step

Remove the martini glasses from the freezer. Add a bit of crushed ice into the chilled martini glasses. (1 minute)

07

Step

Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses. (30 seconds)

08

Step

Garnish each margarita with an orange wedge and serve immediately. (30 seconds)

For a sweeter margarita, consider using a sugar rim instead of salt. Simply substitute coarse sugar for the salt when preparing the glass rims.
Adjust the amount of tequila and orange liqueur to suit your personal taste preferences.
For an extra burst of flavor, try using blood oranges or other varieties of oranges for the freshly squeezed juice.
Ensure you shake the cocktail long enough to properly chill the drink.
If you don't have a cocktail shaker, a mason jar with a tight-fitting lid can be used as a substitute.
