For a vegetarian option, substitute the chicken with 1 (15-ounce) can of cannellini beans, rinsed and drained. Adjust the amount of chile paste to control the level of spiciness. Start with a small amount and add more to taste. Fresh basil pesto will provide the best flavor, but store-bought pesto can also be used in a pinch. If you don't have farfalle, penne or rotini pasta would also work well in this recipe. Try adding some chopped sun-dried tomatoes or roasted red peppers for extra flavor and texture.

Sep 3, 2022I love how easy it is to customize the heat level. My kids prefer a milder version, so I just use a tiny bit of chile paste.
