For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of dry white wine to the skillet after cooking the green onions and garlic. Let it reduce slightly before adding the salami. If you don't have mostaccioli pasta, penne or rigatoni are excellent substitutes. Freshly grated Parmesan cheese is highly recommended for its superior flavor and texture.
